This was definitely a convention of unintentional adventures! I was stuck at my works booth for most of the event, but on Saturday I was called in to help judge the masquerade (due to scheduling conflicts, They needed an extra hand!) and it was an absolute delight to be involved! We had some phenomenal cosplays come through our room! It's always a joy to see how this community is growing and improving. It makes me want to get in there and be involved. I've mostly stopped competing in the local competitions, so it's wonderful to still get to be involved.
It's funny, but this event, more then anything, has really made me sit down and think about what I want to do from here. Now that and I are done competing for the WCS, I sort of feel like a little empty creatively. It's weird. You spend 4 years of your life striving for something and then when you get it...you suddenly don't have that huge thing to work for. It dissolves and leaves you with free time to pursue things you left on hold.
well, I've got some ideas, so we will see where I go from here. But you can rest assured, what ever I do...costuming and cosplay will DEFINITELY be involved!~
